Make it crafty challenge

I really enjoyed making this card as I dont usually go in for robins or birds, but I was having a look through the and thought that the feathered challenge would be a good thing for me to have a go at. So looking through the gorgeous images I decided the robin on a cherry branch would be the one to buy and use for it.

After colouring the image the only thing that had to be done was decide on how the card should look and what sort of colours, red had to be in there somewhere and gold, these are popular traditional colours for Christmas and combined with the cream card, worked well.

So now all I have to do is upload it to the Make it crafty page and wait.

Hmm, what fantastic images could I chose with the $15 gift certificate if I win, and what other challenges can I do.

Wish me luck

till next time. x

Hello everyone,

Me again with another card for Christmas that I have made to go into The paper shelter challenge.

December 26th
December 26th

This particular challenge is all about using a ‘charm’. what better way to use my ‘believe’ star charm but on a Christmas card.

I used the paper shelter image called December 26th, and coloured it in with copics using traditional colours.

I will hopefully be entering this card into the following challenges too

Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge – use a die –

Love to create challenge – anything goes –

The sketchy Challenge – use the sketch given –

looking forward to blogging again soon. x

Hello everyone,

I have been dying to show you all my latest makes but I have been so busy with lots of different things including family and card making and days out, I went to see my wrinklies earlier in the week and showed them some of my Christmas makes and they loved them! (yeah I know biased) my dad did say though that I seem to be doing a lot of 1 design.

This made me think and I realised that I had to try with other challenges. I started to look through facebook not long after and came upon a like page of sketchy challenges and I was really pleased with what I saw. I sometimes see an image I would love to colour but then not sure how to make them into cards so this was perfect for me.

This means now that I can use any image and make cards with the sketches that are on the challenge at the moment. whoop whoop!

So here is my 1st sketchy challenge with the paper shelter image called ‘Attitude changes everything’ You can find the image here, I really like the way some images come with backgrounds and that the images come as a coloured image as well as an image you can colour yourself,

I am so pleased that my dad pointed this out to me about the same sort of images so that I could change my way of thinking and try something new.

Hope you like what you see.

Until next time.

Hello again

2015-07-25 20.07.51

Well another card for a Lacy sunshine challenge, this time this is going into 2 of them, The 1st will be the Saturday Selfie which as you can guess is always on a Saturday, the 2nd challenge for Lacy sunshine is the Bi Weekly Challenge which is anything goes, so I am entering both with the same card.

I used Sugis Christmas truffle image which you will find her here and really enjoyed colouring her in so much that I have coloured her 3 times but in different colours, the other colours are pink and purple, I will make them into cards but for now wanted to make this one to see how it would work out, the other 2 are smaller.

I love the blues and beige colours in this card and was quite pleased with the result.

Till next time.

Shaker card for Make It Crafty Challenge

Make it Crafty

I’m certainly on a roll at the moment, 2 challenge cards in a couple of days and both posted on my blog!

This card will be entered into the Make it crafty CAS shaker challenge  and even though I was dreading putting it all together because I have never made 1 before.  I am loving the image.

This little number can either be for Valentines or Christmas, I have used 2 make it crafty digi stamps 1 being Penny – Scott – Kissing and the other being the ‘there’s magic in the air’ sentiment, I coloured the image with Copics and made it into a shaker card using glitter in the heart.

Heres to my next card challenge.
